Venue
The village Göhrde, the nearest town Hitzacker and the surrounding area are part of an attractive region
for tourists. First stone-age tombs can be dated back to 2500 BC, and in medieval time the town flourished
due to the protected position in the winding arm of the river Jeetzel where it meets the River Elbe. Germany's
northernmost vineyard is here, and the vintage festivity in autumn has a tradition of 400 years.
Today, the town is famous for music festivals in summer and winter, for its bronze-age open-air museum and for
recreation.
